Khmelnytskyi We Miss thee

It's been an exciting day. We bought last minute gifts for the orphanage, packed and sprung the boys! The ride to Kyiv went well and the boys were better than we could have hoped.

Then we got to the apartment. Thomas promptly threw a fit and laid down in the dirty wet parking lot - in his brand new never before worn clothes. After a number of other in apartment adventures we got the boys to bed at 8:15 which isn't bad since at the joint it was 8:00. Well at 11:20 Matthew is still up and Thomas only got quiet 5 minutes ago. The word "nightmare" comes to mind.

It will be interesting to see how they rebound tomorrow.

Not sure whether you will continue to have internet access before you board for home. Look forward to hearing how well the boys do on the trip home. Cars, planes, long days, new home, new country, new language full time, new food, strange people - all have to be somewhat overwhelming. It's hard to remember what its like being that young, let alone, having to adjust to all that's ahead. Dont forget games for boys for the plane ride . . . and a lot of patience for mom and dad.
Safe travels and Happy Trails.

I can only imagine what terror these two precious boys must feel with the travel, new surroundings, faces they have never seen before, different bed, language berrier, food, just EVERYTHING. Be patient. Clothes wash, bruises heal, hearts mend...love speaks all languages! My heart goes out to you both. Have a safe journey home.
Love and Prayers,
